ABOUT THE ARTIST
Megan Barrass has been painting for the last twelve years as a full-time artist. Firstly, living in Sydney by the beaches, this was a huge influence to paint large colourful canvas’ depicting the Aussie beach lifestyle, which became popular with the Sydney siders. Then the past four years, has bought about a country change. Megan, her husband and the kids, moved to spectacular Lovedale to run Emma’s Cottage Vineyard. This was perfect for Megan to paint all week and to then display her artworks in the cellar door, for visitors to view, while wine tasting.

Now her paintings have been heavily influenced by the new surroundings. Chicken, geese, tractors, vines and Hunter Valley local scenes, are her topics. With the odd request for a beach scene or a large canvas of spectacular flowers, from time to time.
